New Captain
In players meeting after the final game of the season a new club captain was selected. In close run vote Tom Rayer gained the honour with Dave Brown narrowly missing out. Congratulations to Tom and we wish him every success during his reign.
We must also say a huge thank you to the party captain Ollie 'Tammy' Rider, who has captained the side through the previous two seasons. It wasn't easy for Ollie but he did a great job and earned a lot of peoples respect for the way he handled it. Thank you very much.
The second team captain will remain as Steve Hopkins, where we hope he will continue the fine job he is doing in nurturing the young talent at the club.

Highlights of a season gone by
The Dan Brown Memorial Tournament a great success and a fitting tribute.
Our first win eventually came away to Aretians after what seemed like a lifetime.
Geordie leaving to go to Spartans (unfortunately he came back).
The 'Old Uns' Vs The 'Young Guns', as they like to be referred to, Boxing Day match.
Debuts for a number of very talented players including Pierre Mathurin, Greg and Dom Padfield, Craig Smith, Tom Wilkinson, Pat Holmes, Dave Hearfield and any others we have failed to mention...Liam Hemming, just to make him sweat.
Nigel Smart and Andy Broady still managing to find their way onto the pitch with the 1st XV, albeit with the aid of Zimmer frames at times! Stan Turner and Jamie James still going strong for the 2nd XV and of course Canty who does that touch line so well every week.
Beating Matson at Redwell Road
Putting out a side that played very well against Richians with only four team members over the age of 24.
Running Hartpury College so close in the final game of the season.
Sorry Marcus but the actual highlight of the season and I am sure something that will get brought up on tour goes to your kick for touch with what should have been the last play of the game! Which almost resulted in the opposition scoring and us losing luckily for you our full back was paying attention!

Football on Thursdays
We have now started playing football on Thursdays at 7pm, all new, old and existing players are welcome.
No matter how bad you are came down and have a laugh at the end of the day we are all rugby players and should have limited skills with the round ball.
